New Jersey Future Hosts Inaugural New Jersey Future Day at the State House to Spotlight Equitable Growth and Sustainability
TRENTON, NJ, May 6, 2025—New Jersey Future, a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization focused on smart, equitable growth, land-use, and sustainable redevelopment, will host its first-ever New Jersey Future Day at the State House on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in Trenton.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., New Jersey Future staff will be stationed outside the legislative chambers, at Goldfinch Square, engaging lawmakers and visitors in conversations about the organization’s mission and its impact on communities across the Garden State. The event offers a unique opportunity for policymakers, Statehouse workers and visitors alike to connect directly with the team, learn more about New Jersey Future’s work, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
“For nearly four decades, New Jersey Future has been at the forefront of advancing policies that strengthen our communities while protecting the environment,” said Sabrina Rodriguez, advocacy and government affairs manager at New Jersey Future. “This special day is about building relationships and offering our expertise as a resource for sound, equitable policy solutions.”
While no specific legislation will be discussed—respecting all State House rules of engagement—the event will serve as a platform to showcase key initiatives in areas such as infrastructure, lead-free New Jersey, land-use and local redevelopment, climate risks, and transportation options.
Legislators are encouraged to stop by throughout the day for informal dialogue, a little bit of fun, and to learn how New Jersey Future can support their efforts in creating a more just, sustainable New Jersey.
